If it ain't broke...
Perhaps you already have a website. Perhaps it works well for you. That being the case, don't fix it!
Many have found that their websites don't work particularly well for them, and are trying to figure out what they need to do to find the success that they keep hearing about.
As far back as I can remember in internet history, about 1996 (I was a latecomer), I had a dozen or so sites that I tried to check every day. I did so because I was interested in their content. Even then, those sites were not alone on the web in covering the specific topics which interested me but I kept returning because of one simple factor:
Their content changed frequently, nearly every day.
So desperate was I for even the tiniest nugget of information that I made it a point to go down the list of "favorites" every blessed day.
Conclusion: Websites that change frequently will attract visitors.
That being the case, why do the majority of websites in existence never change content?
Because it is too hard for the website owners to update them.
So what can you do?
Joomla! is a software framework which makes it easy for a site owner to change his content. If you had a Joomla! site, or one built in many competitive frameworks, you could add or edit content from any computer with an internet connection, at any time you please, without paying anybody anything.
